Kreo Connect is the IoT platform designed for remote support on Lumia products. Quick, user-friendly, and secure, it enables connection and access to the facility, allowing for actions on both machine control and the ESA edge device to minimize machine downtime and enhance operational costs. Kreo Connect IoT features
Domain and Subdomain Management
Customers can establish a domain on the server to register their machines and specify the devices they want to access via Kreo Connect. Users also have the capability to create subdomains without restrictions and incorporate the machines installed at specific customer locations.
User Management
The domain administrator can add new users, define which subdomains they can access, and set their associated permissions. Users can also independently select their own passwords. While the administrator cannot view the passwords, they can reset them if needed.
There are four types of users:
- Root domain administrator (admin): This user creates the domain, and their username is “admin.”
- Subdomain administrator: Has the ability to alter the structure of their designated subdomain.
- User with write access to the subdomain: Can modify the structure of the subdomain.
- User with read access to the subdomain: Can utilize the services available in the subdomain.
Advanced Features
- Remote Desktop: Enables viewing of the Edge product pages, assisting in preliminary system diagnostics and providing a clear overview of operating conditions.
- Single or Multi VPN: Facilitates the creation of one or multiple VPN channels, ensuring secure access to both the ESA device and, through the port bridge service, to devices linked to the machine network (OT), enhancing connectivity and security.
- Kreo HMI Project Transfer: After establishing the VPN, users can effortlessly transfer a Kreo HMI project, ensuring a smooth transition and maintaining operational continuity.
- PLC Program Transfer, Debugging, and Modifications: With the VPN active, users can connect online with the PLC programming software, enabling real-time monitoring and the ability to make adjustments as needed.
- File Transfer: This feature allows Kreo Connect to transfer files between the Edge device and the remote PC, including exported archives, reports, alarm histories, and custom files created by the customer, making the entire information management process more efficient and accessible.
