Excellent results for the twelfth edition of the fair for intelligent, digital and sustainable industry. SPS Italia 2024, held from 28 to 30 May at Fiere di Parma, closed with over 40,100 visitors and 850 exhibitors, confirming itself as one of the main events in the sector at European level.
From thematic courses on artificial intelligence, IIoT, additive manufacturing, sustainability, and robotics, to events and conferences, widespread public participation was recorded. Among the most popular aspects of the fair, the District 4.0 area provided an overview of the most advanced solutions and practical applications of industrial digitalization. A space where companies showed how new technologies can improve the efficiency and productivity of industrial operations, such as automation and control solutions. While in the conference and workshop programmed sustainability and digitalization were at the center of the debate. Industry experts have indeed discussed emerging trends and future challenges for the manufacturing industry regarding these issues.
Donald Wich, CEO of Messe Frankfurt Italia: “over the three days we recorded a huge turnout, a sign of an increasingly concrete awareness on the part of companies about innovation as a necessary path to achieve competitiveness and sustainability goals. This year SPS Italia was a winning mix of meetings, technologies, training and new skills for a new factory idea, in which the most cutting-edge solutions are at the service of man. We are happy to have offered a networking event that involved the entire supply chain, from technology suppliers, to manufacturing, to the new generations.”
Andrea Bianchi, President of ANIE Automazione: “the extremely positive numbers in terms of visitors and exhibitors demonstrate how this fair continues to represent the reference event in the sector and to be a showcase of technological innovation in the sector. Investing in innovation, particularly in sustainability and digitalization, confirms the strategic choice made by companies to continue to grow in the global market, even in an increasingly complex and difficult to predict scenario. ANIE Automazione’s hope is that the momentum and vitality clearly expressed by companies can intersect with far-sighted economic policies calibrated to the real needs of the Italian manufacturing fabric. The balance of ANIE Automazione’s presence at SPS Italia is certainly positive: we presented the 2024 edition of the Observatory and the new Technical Guide dedicated to interconnection for the industrial world in addition to the Vademecum 5.0. In the coming months, the collaboration with Messe Frankfurt Italia will continue for the organization of our forums dedicated to vision systems and mechatronics and industrial software.”
SPS Italia 2024: the ESA experience
Even for ESA, those at SPS Italia proved to be three days full of satisfaction, during which we met numerous visitors. Among the products presented at the fair, the Lumia ARM / Vesa solutions were highly successful. What was surprising was the enormous degree of customization according to customer requests, to obtain an extraordinarily efficient result in line with the various individual needs. There was also great interest in our robotic demo, a solution that integrates Industry 4.0 and sustainability, focused on the fundamental themes of Transition 5.0.
Finally, the marketing initiative based on gamification hit the mark, arousing curiosity and participation. An original and engaging way to show our EDGE / WEB HMI solution based on web applications.
